A general photography class for beginning,
intermediate or advanced students.
-
Importance of the documentary
photograph.
George Edwards; Executive
Director of Historic Wilmington Foundation will give a brief
talk on the importance of photo documentation of historic
buildings protected by preservation easements.
-
General overview of cameras.
We want to make
sure everyone is on the same page so there will be a discussion
regarding cameras, what they can and cannot do and general
overview on how they work.
-
Lens and their adjustments.
It is very
important to understand how your camera and specifically your
lens and how it can effect and affect you images of buildings.
-
Angel of view.
When we get
through with the lens discussion we will segue into angel of
view and that effect on buildings.
-
Digital or film discussion.
Just what you
think it will be, we will talk the pros and cons.
-
Brief overview of the Zone System
and exposure control.
Zone system is a
class unto it's self so we do a quick look at what it is.
-
Shooting the house.
How do you do
it, what is the need for the final product.
-
Image rights,
theirs - yours.
It's not your
house, permissions and all that jazz.
-
Editing your work.
You don't want
anyone to see the bad stuff. Editing down and dirty.
-
Printing your work and publishing
to the web.
We will pick one
of your best and do a print to go, plus publish the best 5 to
the web.
For
this class you may use a film or digital camera nor is an
advanced camera required. So what does this mean to the film
people. You need to make arrangements with Frank at Image
Finishers to get your film processed and a disk back, quickly.
So timing is critical. Let me know so we can make arrangements
in ADVANCE!!!!
